John C. Holm, of Lothair, who has been confined in hospitals here and in Havre since September, 1949, passed away last Tuesday morning at 7:30.
Mr. Holm was born in Sweden, July 27, 1864 and would have been 86 years old had he lived 10 days longer. He came to Lothair from North Dakota in July, 1910 and settled on a farm south and east of Lothair, where he lived and worked for more than 35 years.
He entered the local hospital in September, 1949; and after some ten days here was taken to Havre, where his leg was amputated above the knee. He stayed in the Havre hospital until April, 1950, when he was returned to the local hospital. He was sent to Havre for treatment June 23rd and received treatment there for two weeks, when he returned to the hospital here, where he passed away.
He is survived by a niece, Miss Esther Benson, and a nephew, Mr. Carl Benson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the local Methodist church, Rev. Drumheller officiating. Interment in the Lothair cemetery.
