Our beloved mother and grandmother Edna Ferre Kay, 85, passed away February 23, 2001.

Born June 3, 1915 to Esther Dugdale Ferre and Albert Ferre in Provo, UT. Married Jesse Merlin Kay on January 31, 1934 in the Manti LDS Temple.

Her greatest mis-sion in life was her loving devotion to her family. She was a tremendous home-maker with a pion-eering spirit. She took great pride in hard work, including the years spent working at Cottonwood Hospital. She and Jesse made their home in South Salt Lake for many years and then moved to South Jordan where they loved to raise animals. She loved the beauties of earth and her Savior Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her six children: Maureen (Kenneth) Keele, Sherman (Pat) Kay, Sammy (Carol) Kay, Pearl Ann (Larry) Holdaway, Helen (George) Higby, John (Holly) Kay; 23 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, five great great-grandchildren; sisters: Norma Abbot, Viola Lotz, and Emma Lee Packer; brother Alvin Ferre; and sister-in-law Ruth Ferre. Preceded in death by her eternal companion Jesse Merlin Kay, brother Alma Ferre, and grandson Charlie Brook Baxter.
