Services for Captain Charles James Cazes, Sr. will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 21, 2006 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with Father Daniel O'Connor officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Hixon Brothers, Alexandria. Military honors provided by Alexandria/Pineville Veterans Honor Guard.

Captain C. J. Cazes, Sr. retired from the City Police Department, Alexandria, La., expired Monday, September 18, 2006 at National Heights Nursing Home.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Madeline Gnann Cazes; parents, Charles Mendez & Theresa Lydia Parise Cazes; brother & sister-in-law, Clement Scott & Ethel Eleanor Cazes and brother-in-law, Dallas Millard Lea.

Survived by two daughters, Mary Jane Honshul and her husband William Lewis of Pineville, Barbara Ann Robin__ and her husband, Dennis Robert of Charlotte, N.C.; son, Charles James Cazes, Jr of Angleton, Texas; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; sisters, Annie E. Cazes Price and her husband Willard of Alexandria and Jeanette Cazes Lea of Alexandria; brother, John Edward Cazes and his wife Linda of Pineville.
