David Daniel (Papa Dan) Miller, 79, of Newport, Rt. 1, died Sunday. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Bell-Munden Chapel in Morehead City by the Rev. Tom Roberts, pastor of the Christian Church in Newport. Burial will be in the Canady cemetery on Newport, Rt. 1. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lula Garner Miller; one daughter, Mrs. Clifton Nance of Newport; three sons, Frank Daniel of Rocky Mount, Kenneth Leamon of Newport, Rt. 1, and Archie Miller of Graham; 12 grandchildren.
