KILBOURNE, LA - Funeral services for Mildred Jane (Newell) Harper, age 101 of Kilbourne, Louisiana will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Cox Funeral Home Chapel, 200 East Noble Street in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
Shane Ware and Wayne Parker will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Kilbourne Cemetery in Kilbourne, Louisiana.
Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 10 to 11 AM at Cox Funeral Home in Oak Grove.
Mrs. Harper passed into eternal life on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at her home in Kilbourne, Louisiana.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo Forrest Harper; son, Larry Norman Harper; father, Later Newell; mother, Bessie Lee (Taylor) Newell; daughter-in-law, Sandy F. Harper; sister, Jean Connell; and sister, Faye Hamilton.
Mrs. Harper is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Paula Harper Nuber and Robert "Bob" Nuber of Slidell, Louisiana; granddaughter and her husband, Tisha H. and Wayne Parker of Lake Providence, Louisiana; granddaughter and her husband, April H. and Shane Ware of West Monroe, Louisiana; granddaughter, Jenny Nuber of Houston, Texas; and 5 great grandchildren: Grayson Parker, Whitt Parker, Kaylee Ware, Maddie Ware, and Cooper Ware.
Pallbearers are: Shane Ware, Wayne Parker, Grayson Parker, Whitt Parker, Cooper Ware, Roy Brown, and Bob Nuber.
