Son of George Wesley Morris (1858-1931) and Mary "Molly" Etta Trussell. Grandson of Henry or Jack Morris (Union soldier KIA in MO during Civil War) and Ella Jane Morris.

Step-mother was Martha Elizabeth Freemyer (1862-1949).


Husband of Mary Lucille Giesken, married in Hot Springs, Arkansas May 12, 1924. They shared 55 years together, their love enabling them to endure the Great Depression, the Dust Bowl, war and all of life's other challenges.

Father of Mary Irene M Allin, Helen Pauline M Nault (1926), Oscar Leon Morris (1928-2011), Donald Marvin Morris (1932-2014) and John Edward Morris (1934-2016).

Brother of Jesse Lee Morris (Nampa, ID), Ethel M Pittsenbarger (McFall, MO), and Frances "Fannie" Morris.

He was a jockey in his youth, a farmer and operator of a local telephone exchange in Nodaway County, MO. He and Lucille moved to the Seattle/Mountlake Terrace, WA area in the late 1950's, both working for the Bon Marche Company (now Macy's) retiring from their Northgate store about 1970. They enjoyed their retirement by moving to Tumwater, WA.
