Son of Mrs. Constante BANDINI and the husband of Mrs. Mary BANDINI of Belle Vernon, Pa. He is the father of a girl, Barbara Ann.
Attended school in Belle Vernon. He like hunting and was noted both in civilian and Army life for ability in jitterbug dancing.
To all of his friends he was known as "Nello."
He began his employment with Pittsburgh Steel Company on June 7, 1937, and at the time of entering service was a grinder in the Pilger Finish Department of Allenport Works.
He was sworn into service on March 26, 1943, trained at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri; Breckenridge, Kentucky and Camp Shreveport, Louisiana.
Staff Sgt. BANDINI, participated in the major campaigns in France and was killed in action before the enemy on September 12, 1944, "Somewhere in France."

S/SGT. NELLO BANDINI
The body of Staff Sgt. Nello Bandini, of Belle Vernon, being returned from a military cemetery in France for reburial, will arrive in Charleroi tomorrow and will be taken to the Toner Funeral Home in Belle Vernon.
Sergeant Bandini was killed in action in Brittany on Aug. 12, 1944. He was awarded the Bronze Star for gallantry.
In civilian life, he was employed at the Allenport plant of the Pittsburgh Steel Co.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
