Brief Illness Fatal to Falls Woman

Mrs. Arthur C. Chamberlain, 63, a native of Montana, died Thursday at her home 1001 6th Ave. N., after she became suddenly ill. Her husband is operator of the Chinook motel.
Mrs. Chamberlain was born Aug. 21, 1895, at Highwood, the daughter of early pioneers, Mr. and Mrs. Allen McDonald. McDonald was one of the first persons to arrive in Fort Benton by steamboat.
Mrs. Chamberlain was graduated from Belt High School. She taught school at Loma, Lehigh and in Belt before her marriage to Chamberlain in Helena June 23, 1917. They lived in Belt for a time and in 1920 moved to Seattle. They returned here in 1951 and have operated the motel in the past eight years.
She was a member of St. Ann's parish.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:15 at St. Ann's cathedral. Interment will be in Mount Olivet cemetery.
Survivors, in addition to the husband, are a son, Donald, Great Falls; sisters, Ellen Harney, Great Falls, and Mrs. Henry Evans, Stanford; and brothers, Joe McDonald of Browning and Lennie McDonald, Geyser.
