Jerome Puffer
Jerome Puffer, 69, 1116 1st Ave. S., died Monday morning in a local hospital. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Croxford and Sons. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial.
Puffer was born at St. Cloud, Minn., and moved to Havre with his parents when he was a child. He married Ruth L. Meyer in Havre in 1935. They lived in Havre until 1941, then moved to Great Falls.
He worked for Western Union for 44 years. He was a member of Cascade Lodge 34, AF&AM and Local 40 of the United Telegraph Workers, Seattle.
Survivors include his wife, a son, Robert, Altoona, Pa., and a sister, Mrs. Wade (Hazel) Woodring, Havre.
