EMPORIA-Clyde J. Barraclough, 95, Emporia, died Sunday, Aug. 9, 1998, at an Emporia hospital.
Mr. Barraclough had worked for Santa Fe Railway in a variety of positions before he retired in 1968 as a dispatcher.
He was born Dec. 7, 1902, in Scranton, the son of Edward and Viola Schoonover Barraclough.
Mr. Barraclough was a member of West-minster United Presbyterian Church and Masonic Lodge No. 12 AF&AM, both in Emporia and the Arb Shrine Temple in Topeka.
He was married to Mary Kunard in 1928 at Edgerton. She died in 1946. He was married to Edna L. Harris Martin on Jan. 27, 1949, at Emporia. She died March 12, 1995. Mr. Barraclough also was preceded in death by two stepsons, William A. Martin and Robert H. Martin.
Survivors include two daughters, Loeta Tisdale, Norfolk, Va., and Juanita Ferrell, Vancouver, Wash.,; a stepson, Donald W. Martin, Fourquex, France; a brother, Roy Barraclough, Osage City; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Emporia. Burial and graveside Masonic services conducted by Lodge No. 12 AF&AM will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia.
