Joe was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a lifelong resident of South Charleston. He was a great dad, a good and kind man. He will be missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Flora Gibson Beverly and Onnie Beverly; wife, Sharlotte Ann Beverly; infant daughter, Jean Ann Beverly; and brother, Lyle Beverly.
Survived by son, Jeff Beverly and wife, Jisook; son, Marc Beverly and wife, Gail; very special niece, Donna Cutright; sister in-law, Norma Garrett; sister in-law, June Beverly; beloved granddaughter, Nicole Beverly; grandson, Kyle Beverly; and the last in a long line of faithful Boston terriers, Gidget.
To honor Joe's request, there will be no funeral. However, there will be a celebration of family and friends at Snodgrass Funeral Home, South Charleston, on Sunday, June 10, from 6 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joe's name to his favorite charities: Union Mission of West Virginia, P.O. Box 112, Charleston, WV 25321; or the American Lung Association, P.O. Box 3980, Charleston, WV 25339-9982.
The family would also like to recognize Joe's caregiver, Judy Ray. Mere words cannot adequately express our gratitude; you are simply wonderful. The family would also like to give a special thanks to Lynese and Beth with Hospice.
