CLEAR SPRING - Eric Bruce Boyer Sr., 70, of 10826 National Pike, died Thursday, Aug. 13, at Washington County Hospital.
Born June 19, 1928, in Millersville, Md., he was the son of the late Frank Julian and Virginia Elizabeth Hersch Boyer.
He was a retired driver and dispatcher for Greyhound Bus Lines. He retired from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources in 1991.
He was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God in Hagerstown.
He served in the Merchant Marine.
He was survived by his wife, Marjorie Ann Daniels Boyer; a daughter; three sons; three sisters, Carolyn Thompson of Greenville, N.C., and Auda Boyer and Kathryn Carroll, both of Myersville, Md.; five brothers, Frank J. Boyer of Lancaster, Va., Norval E. Boyer of Glen Burnie, Md., Harold G. Boyer of Severna Park, Md., Horace R. Boyer of Springfield, Mo., and Charles B. Boyer of Millersville; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald H., Byron G. and Bernarr Boyer.
Services were held at Donald E. Thompson Funeral Home. The Revs. Terry Broadwater, Wes Johnson and Arvel Barrett officiated. Burial was in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
