RETIRED FARMER DIES
John Barncord, 212 East Seventh Ave., a retired farmer, died this morning in Newman Memorial County Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel, conducted by the Rev. W. Howard Holverson, pastor of the First Christian Church. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
John Barncord, the son of Emmanuel and Emma J. Fritz Barncord, was born Nov. 23rd, 1890, in Hope, and was married to Ethel Mayes Nov. 18th, 1914, in Emporia. He was a member of the First Christian Church and the I.O.O.F. and the Rebekah Lodges. He is survived by his wife, of the home; one foster son, Donald Sharpe, 511 East Seventh, Ave.; a twin brother, Arthur F., Glendale, Calif.; four other brothers, Charles, Rt. 2; E. F., 125 Market St.; C. F., Lawrence, and Ralph, San Bernardino, Calif.; and by two sisters, Mrs. L. A. Drum, Topeka, and Mrs. W. T. Alexander, 502 Rural St.
