Rev. Ray Potter (my 3rd great-grandfather) was born June 22, 1795 and died March 1, 1858 (correction). He was the son of Andrew Potter and Nancy Remington Potter who are both buried in Knightsville Meeting House Cemetery, Cranston, RI

Ordained by the Six-Principle Baptists, pastored Pawtucket, later the Freewill Baptists, became clerk of the RI Quarterly Meeting; the church grew, but had some faction problems later.
