David Lindbergh Mounce, age 79, of Dillsboro, passed away Saturday morning, June 2, 2012 at Dearborn County Hospital.
He was born in Mt. Victory, KY on June 17, 1932 to Henry C. Mounce and Victoria (Collins) Mounce. On June 25, 1983 he married Frances Irene Dennis, who survives.
David was a truck driver for Ram Motor Freight, and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Friendship.
Surviving besides his wife, Frances, are his 4 children, David D. Mounce, Shelby L. Mounce, and Tammy R. Mounce, all of Indiana, and Deborah A. Arnett, of Texas; 5 step children, Randy and Rodney Hamilton, Raynell Beach, Regena Wood, and Starla Walton; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 grandson.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at DeVries Funeral Home in Dillsboro. Friends may meet his family from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Interment Oakdale Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the family.
