WALTER J. MUILENBURG
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Van Etten Funeral home in Orange City for Walter J. Muilenburg who passed away December 1 in Phoenix, Ariz., after a long illness. Rev. E. Van Engelenhoven and Rev. A. Hook officiated at the services.
The departed was born August 10, 1893, at Orange City. After graduating from the Orange City high school, he attended the University of Iowa and received his degree in 1915. Most of his life was spent in teaching and writing.
When Illness overtook him he divided his time between Orange City and Phoenix.
Surviving are four sisters: Josephine and Anna Muilenburg of Orange City, Mrs. N.J. Jansma of Minneapolis and Mrs. Jacob G. Mouw of Orange City. Two brothers, Dr. Jame Muilenburg of New York City and Dr. C. M. Muilenburg of Lansing, Mich., also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
