Thelma Irene Dowler, 85, of Parkersburg passed away May 1, 2010, at the Eagle Pointe
Nursing Facility.
She was born May 15, 1924, in Wood County, a daughter of the late Burt Braham and Nettie
Thomas Braham.
She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School, a member of the South Parkersburg Baptist
Church, and a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons, Gary Dowler and his wife, Dianna, of Little Hocking,
Ohio, Lyle Dowler of Parkersburg and Neil Dowler and his wife, Lee, of Parkersburg; two
daughters, Lora Tyler and her husband, Ronald, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Lois Logan of
Huntersville, N.C.; one sister, Aulene Cooper of Parkersburg; nine grandchildren; and
five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Dowler; and a
brother, Winfred Braham.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home,
Parkersburg, with the Rev. Joe Busch and the Rev. Gary Murray officiating. Entombment
will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
and two hours prior to the service on Wednesday.
