Leota Mae Bigbie, 78, of Laurel and formerly of Longview, Texas, died Saturday, Nov 30, 1991, at South Central Regional Medical Center after a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec 3, at Liberty Baptist Church in Longview with burial in Lakeview Memorial Cemetery. The Revs Eddie Taylor and Don Page will officiate.
She is survived by her husband, Jessie J. Bigbie, Sr, of Laurel; two sons, Leonard Bigbie of Laurel and Jessie J. Bigbie, Jr, of Houston Texas; a daughter, Ida L. Erving of Lake Dallas, Texas; a brother, William Earl GAby of Fort Worth, Texas, a sister, Bernice Cantrell, also of Forth Worth; eight grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons Joe Bigbie, Tre Bigbie, Chris Bigbie and Lee Bigbie along with nephews John Beish and Larry Johnson will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. tonight at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home in Longview, Texas. Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel is in charge of arrangements.
