Services for Jack Selman, 86, Athens are scheduled for 2:00 P M Saturday in Carroll-Lehr Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ken Jones officiating.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Selman died June 7, 2012 in Athens.
He was born February 9, 1926 in the Stockard Community to the late Ebbie David and Viola Mae Ingram Selman and had been a resident of Athens most of his life.
He served as produce manager for Tom Thumb and Piggly Wiggly stores in Houston and Athens. At retirement he had completed a nine year tenure with Trinity Valley Community College in the maintenance department.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Bill and Durwood Selman.
Survivors include wife of 64 years Para Selman, Athens, son Rodney Selman and wife Pam, Spring, daughters Shirley VanZandt and husband Tommy, Spring, Cheryl Parmele, Karleen Selman, both of Athens, brothers Bobby Selman, Frankston, Thomas Selman, Dallas, sisters Elizabeth Phillips, Athens, Dorothy Wasunyk, Mabank, ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brian Voelker, Josh Selman, Jeff VanZandt, Matt Selman, Timothy Ortiz, Justin Husk.
