Elvin F. Arrington, who died Jan. 29 in Reno, Nev., was born Nov. 24, 1875, at Farina, Ill. On Christmas eve, 1895, he married Miss Lulu Williams of Milton and they resided in Milwaukee while he was a street car conductor. Then he was a locomotive engineer in Iowa for the Milwaukee Road before coming to Milton and going into the livery business with the late James Anderson. For twenty years he farmed in this locality and in the summer of 1939 he and Mrs. Arrington went to live with their son, Clyde E., at Reno, Nev., where she died on Sept. 1, 1941.

Survivors are the son, Clyde E., Reno, Nev.; a brother, Clyde B., Oak Park, Ill.; and a sister, Mrs. Wilferd Knight, Milton.

A brother and sister preceded him in death.

A service was held in Reno on Jan. 30 and the son accompanied the body to Milton where services were held in the Congregational church last Friday afternoon. Rev. R. W. Newell officiated, Pres. Carroll L. Hill sang and members of the local Masonic lodge, of which Mr. Arrington was a member, conducted their ritual. Burial was in Milton cemetery. Pallbearers were Curtis Austin, Roy Cary, Elam Coon, Harry Green, Arthur Holmes and Herbert Risdon.

Among the relatives attending were Clyde B. Arrington, Oak Park; Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Carlson and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Johnson, Rockford; and Mrs. E. E. Loofboro, Albion.
