Jefferson City Post Tribune (MO) – Page 6 – July 23, 1973:

Arthur Robert Hohenstreet, 78, of 1201 W. Main St., died Saturday at his home after a long illness. Mr. Hohenstreet was born April 25, 1895, at Beaufort, the son of John Henry and Anna Schilick Hohenstreet. He was married to the former Ruth Speedy, who survives.

He was formerly an assistant fire chief, retiring in 1964. He was an Army veteran of World War One. He was past president of the American Fire Fighters Assn.

Other survivors include: Five sons, Robert Hohenstreet, Route 5, George Hohenstreet, Corona, Calif., and Nicholas Hohenstreet and William Hohenstreet, both of Kansas City; one daughter, Mrs. Nancy Lueckenhoff, Quincy, Ill., and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Cathedral, with the Rev. John Buchanan officiating. Burial will be in Hawthorn Gardens. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at Freeman Chapel.
