Bruce Hasbrock Ronk, 64, of Rt. 32, died Thursday, July 2, 2009 at the Benedictine Hospital in Kingston.
A lifelong area resident, he was born in Kingston on April 22, 1945, a son of the late Albert and Margarite Hasbrock Ronk.
He had been employed for many years as a forklift operator at Miton Lumber in Kingston, then as a truck driver for many years at Turco Brothers Water Service in Rosendale and was currently employed as a bus driver for Arthur F. Mulligan Transportation in Tillson. He was a member of Carpenters Labor Union #2110 and a member of the Church of the Nazarene in New Paltz.
Two brothers, Kenneth and Alton Ronk, died previously.
Surviving are five daughters: Joanne Ronk of Modena, Brenda Defour of New Hampshire, Kelly Ronk of Cottekill, Cortnie and Jessi Ronk both of Tillson; two sons, Joel Ronk of Mohegan Lake and John Reich of Arizona; a sister, Myrtle Vitarius of New Paltz; a brother, George Ronk of Watertown; eight grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, at the George J. Moylan Funeral Home, Inc., 2053 Rt. 32, Rosendale. Cremation will be at Wiltwyck Cemetery, Kingston. Inurnment will be in New Paltz Rural Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 7, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to his family would be appreciated.
