Rickey (Rick) Lorin Barker passed away July 11, 2004 at home after a lifetime of illness. He was born April 22, 1958 in Ogden, UT, son of G. Elaine Skinner and John Leo Barker. He graduated from Layton High School. He married Elaine Anderson on Sept 8, 1978. They shared over 25 years together. Rick worked as an ITS technician for the State of Utah for 14 years. He worked 12 years for Unisys, where he met Elaine. Rick enjoyed computers and listening to all types of music. He especially enjoyed the Beatles. He enjoyed creating music CD's for others. He loved his family dearly and was very proud of his wife and daughters. Rick is survived by his wife, Elaine and daughters, Rachell and Sarah, sister, Diane (Tom) McCurdy, and brothers, Gary (Joyce) Barker, Dennis (Kaye) Barker, and Jody (Carla) Barker. Rick was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held Thurs. July 15 at 2:00 p.m. at the Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 S Redwood Rd, Salt Lake City. Friends may call Wed. July 14 from 6-8 p.m. and Thurs. one hour prior to services. Interment Redwood Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family are appreciated.
