William M. "Bud" Geiger, 77 of Murphysboro died at 6:24pm on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro. Bud was born on December 16, 1934 in St. Johns, MI., a son the late Russell and Mary (Ticer) Geiger.
He was united in marriage to Wilma Tooms in Murphysboro in 1953, Wilma survives of Murphysboro.

Bud was a member of the First Christian Church in Murphysboro. He was a retired supervisor with 45 years of service for the Lustour and Curwood Corporation in Murphysboro.

Services will be at 2pm on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro, Pastors Rick Sutton and Dee Armes will officiate. Burial will be at Murdale Gardens of Memory near Murphysboro. Visitation will be from 5 to 7pm on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Survivors include his wife; Wilma of Murphysboro, two sons and one daughter-in-law; Willie Geiger of Murphysboro, and Gary and Jane Geiger of O'Fallon, MO., four grandchildren; Corey Geiger of O'Fallon, MO., and Tyler, Mandy and Brad, two sisters and brothers-in-law; Linda and Harry Ziegler of Murphysboro, and Margie and Johnnie McLaughlin of Cahokia, IL., one brother and sister-in-law; Nathan and Cindy Geiger of Herrin, IL., two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law; Marg and Fritz Schumacher and Ann Tooms all of Phoenix, AZ., he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Gary Merle Geiger, and one brother-in-law; Dob Tooms.
