Michael Sterbenz Dead.

Michael Sterbenz, of Olpe, died Friday evening at 6 o'clock at his home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 9:00 o'clock in St. Joseph's church at Olpe. Interment will be in the Olpe Catholic cemetery.

Michael Sterbenz was born April 14, 1839 in Austria. He was married in 1863 to Mary Perce and in 1864 Mr. and Mrs. Sterbenz came to America, locating in Iowa. They came to Kansas in 1881, locating in Olpe. Twelve children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Sterbenz, nine of whom, surviving children are: Michale with Mrs. Sterbenz, survive. The Sterbenz, of Hartford; Mrs. Mary Strutzel, Mrs. Annie Specht, Mrs. Kate Hageman, Mrs. Matt Waechter, Joe and John Sterbenz, all of Olpe; George Sterbenz, of Osawatomie; and Sister Petrilila, of Cleveland, Ohio.

Fifty-nine grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren also survive.
