Verne E. ''Bud'' Boerner, 68, Olathe, KS, died Wednesday, June 28, 1995, at Good Samaritan Center, Olathe, KS. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 1, at Bonner Springs Cemetery. Friends may call 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the Alden-Harrington Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Olathe or to his church.

Mr. Boerner was born October 13, 1926, in Kansas City, KS. He was a car inspector for Sante Fe Railroad over 30 years retiring in 1979. He was past Scoutmaster for Troop 41 of Bonner Springs. He was a member of Roger E. Sherman Masonic Lodge of Kansas City, KS, Tri-County Rod & Gun Club of Bonner Springs, Transportation Communications International Union and First Christian Church of Bonner Springs. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charl otte Rae Woolf Boerner in 1982. Survivors include a son, Verne Galen Boerner, Pearl Harbor, HI; two daughters, Valerie G. Cunningham, Dallas, TX, and Vanessa Rae Meyer, Olathe, KS; stepfather, James Nail, Olathe, KS; and six grandchildren.
