Mrs. Lappë passed away June 6, 2012 in Tyler. She was born June 17, 1928 in Dakota City, NE to Charles Oliver & Ada Brotherton Black. She spent her early years in Dallas, 11 years in California and then moved to Grand Saline in 1961. She was a member of Lawrence Springs Baptist Church and worked for Stanley Drug Supply for many years.
Mrs. Lappë was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Warren Eugene "Gene" Lappë; six brothers; one sister; and one great-grandchild, Kate Louderman.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, her sister; 6 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to Gideon's International.
