Born in the West Indies.

Children:

Sophie O Brown

Harry Donathan Brown

Theresa L Brown Walker

Birth and death dates come from her death certificate. This certificate also list Emma's mother as "Teresa" Donathan. Emma is buried in an unmarked grave in Magnolia Cemetery, adjacent to the Whiteley plot, next to her daughter Sophie and her husband, Capt Henry Brown.

In the 1910 census, Emma is recorded as being the mother of four (4) children, in which three (3) are still living. This would indicate that Henry & Emma Brown had another child that did not survive to the year 1880, or it may have been a child from Emma's previous marriage -however, we have not confirmed that she was ever married before.
