Robert Jay Fenn
January 28, 1927 - February 13, 2001

HELPER - Robert J. Fenn, age 74, passed away on February 13, 2001 in Price after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born January 28, 1927 in Price, Utah to Albert and Myrtle Fairchild Fenn. He married Rosaleen Barker on April 15, 1950 in Helper, Utah. Member Catholic Church. Honorary life member Price Elks Lodge #1550. Served U.S. Army during Korean War. Member D&RGW Carman Association for 42 years prior to his retirement in 1987.

Robert was a volunteer fireman for Helper City and he lived most of his life in Helper on the East side of town. When he married he still wanted to live by the Helper Ball Park, where he was active in the American Legion and City Baseball. He played basketball and baseball for the Helper City League and was the mascot for the championship American Legion Team in Helper. He dearly loved having coffee and toast with Giordano's each morning and meeting with his gang of fifty years once a week for ice cream and a "bull session." He looked forward to each Tuesday when he helped his friend Red Dimick get the seniors ready for their weekly golf game.

"Fenner" looked forward to the St. Patrick's Day Parade where he marched behind the band and twirled his Shillelagh and then it was off to "Corky's" for green beer and a Rueben sandwich. St. Patty's day parade won't be the same without him.

You've earned your rest, "Fenner", may you be happy in heaven with your son and family that's been waiting for you.

"Bye Papa Fenner," We Love You.

Survived by: wife, Rosaleen Fenn Helper; daughter and spouse, Sheila and Brent Myers, Helper; six grandchildren, Staci and Jesse Noleroth, Price; Robert J. and Nona Fenn III, Aurora, CO; Matthew Fenn, Payson, UT; Megan and Colby Nohr, Leesville, LA; Bobby Fenn, Salt Lake City; Ryan Fenn, Salt Lake City; four great-grandchildren, Matteo, Mickleejay, Kobi and Pamalatera; four sisters, Elva Webb, Tooele; Opal Diamanti, Helper; Alberta Juliano, Helper; Ora "Bunny" Magann, Helper.
