Thomas Baxley, born about 1838, was enlisted on March 8 at Abbeville, Alabama, by Capt. J. N. Lightfoot and received a bounty for enlisting. He died at Seven Pines, Virginia. His widow, Martha Baxley, Dothan, Alabama, filed a claim for settlement on September 15, 1862.
Also serving in Company B were Thomas's brothers, Pvt. Barna Baxley and Pvt. Jeptha L. Baxley.
