Sarah and John were among the first members of the Goshen Baptist Church, organized 1837.
Both Sarah and her husband, John Hoffman 1775-1856 were first buried in the Knotts Cemetery then later moved to the Claremont Cemetery. I do not know if there are tombstones for them.
They had seven children.
Philip, Daniel, Elizabeth, Nancy Ann, Sarah, John and Squire.
