Helen Pauline Theobald Warne, 83, of Sanjubar Drive, Marietta, died Friday (Feb. 10, 2006) in Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville.

She was born in the Reno community on Feb. 1, 1923, a daughter of the late Raymond and Blanche Kirkbride Theobald. Her home had been in Columbus and later in Zanesville. She had been employed by the Kroger Company while residing in Columbus and had also been a cashier in the Dobbs Restaurant at Port Columbus. She was a lady who was known for her kindness ? especially to persons in need ? and was a ?home body.?

She was married to Homer Warne, who preceded her in death on May 9, 1999. She is survived by her sister, Donna Hall (Howard) of Marietta; her special niece, Judy Dye of Newport; and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Shirley Theobald and Erville Theobald; one sister, Freeda Adams; and two sisters who died in infancy.

Arrangements are by McClure-Schafer Lankford Funeral Home. At her request, there will be no visitation.
