He was living in Ontario, CA before moving to Oklahoma in 1973 and then on June 17, 1974 he married Twyla Cross. He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic and road construction for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 12 industry, where he earned his 50 year pin.
He is survived by his wife, Twyla Howard; one sister, Dena Medina of CA; four children, Don Howard of AZ, Sharon Gross of CA, Robert Howard of AZ, and Jon Howard of CA; two stepchildren, Tony E. Cross of OK and Sharon K. Malley of MT; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by two sons, Gerald G. Howard and Gale W. Howard and stepdaughter, Delores A. Cross. His memorial service will be 10am, Monday, March 28th, 2011 at Resthaven Memorial Park Pavilion.
