Tired child of God, still trust Him
By night as well as day
Hold fast thy hope triumphant
Along the roughest way.

It is to overcome
Victorious through their Lord
To whom He giveth hereafter
The joy of his reward.

For faith in Him is precious
That leaning on His love
Rests in the calm assurance
That he will show above.

The meaning of his purpose
Which here no eye can span
The perfect wisdom hidden
Within God's folded plan.
