Louise "Weezie" C. (Lyles) Brown, 77, of Hagerstown passed suddenly on Monday, June 4, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center.
Born Oct. 30, 1934, in Baltimore, Md., Louise was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Ann V. (Harmon) Moore. She was the wife of 24 years to the late Stanley J. Brown Sr., who passed on Feb. 23, 2012. Louise was preceded in death by a sister, Lily Ann Mason.
Louise was a graduate of Waynesboro High School in Waynesboro, Pa., and Virginia State College in Petersburg, Va. She was employed by Frederick County Public Schools, and then by Washington County Public Schools as a librarian, until she retired around 1992.
Louise was a longtime, faithful member of Ebenezer AME Church, where she served as a steward and as an usher. Weezie was a member of the Clique Club of Hagerstown.
Louise is survived by two sisters, Florence Miner (husband Kenith) of Southfield, Mich., and Charlotte M. Keyes (husband Reginald) of Hagerstown; three godchildren, Carolyn Beck of Hagerstown, Francine Harmon of Atlanta, Ga., and Kimberly Strong of Parker, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2012 at Ebenezer AME Church, 40 W. Bethel St., Hagerstown. The Rev. Leroy Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, Bryan K. Kenworthy, PA, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Ebenezer AME Church, 40 W. Bethel St., Hagerstown MD 21740.
