Born at the Caserta Palace in the Kingdom of Naples, Princess Maria Cristina Amelia was a member of the Capetian dynasty of the House of Bourbon and a Princess of Naples and Sicily by birth. She died at the age of four of smallpox at Caserta Palace. She was the twin sister of Princess Maria Cristina Amelia Teresa of Naples and Sicily, future consort of King Charles Felix of Sardinia.
