Claire S. Thomas, 85, passed away May 30, 2012 in Colorado Springs, CO. She was born August 29, 1926 in Syracuse, NY to Harry D. and Marie (Lenz) Scranton. She was united in marriage to Edward D. Thomas; he preceded her in death. Claire is survived by several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Yolande Scranton; and brother-in-law, Stephen Mahan. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jack Scranton; and sister, Riley Mahan. Family and friends are asked to gather at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 8, 2012 at the United Presbyterian Church in Canon City.
