Vernell Walker Robertson, 95, of Martin, died Oct. 9, 2004, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Murphy Funeral Home with Judith Wolfgang, the Rev. Ryan Potts and the Rev. Larry Kendrick officiating. Burial will be in Martin Memorial Garden.
Donald Nanney, Danny Nanney, Michael Nanney, Ricky Nanney, Danny Brooks and Keith Wainscott will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Robertson was born Feb. 22, 1909, in Carroll County, the daughter of the late E. J. and Lacy Jane Langley Walker. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Hill United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Frances Nanney of Martin and Joyce Brooks of Rives; a sister, Minnie Belle Counsel of Martin; six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Yuma Harrison Robertson; two brothers, U.L. Walker and Roy E. Walker; and a sister, Locky B. Walker.
