William Francis Warren was born 12 June 1856 at Cooperstown, Brown County, Illinois, and departed this life at Our Saviour's Hospital in Jacksonville, Illinois on 20 January 1935 at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 8 days.
He was united in marriage with Phoebe Chambers in 1882. She passed away in 1909. To this union five children were born: Albert of Fairfield, Illinois; Mrs. W. E. Menary of Peoria, Illinois - both who survived him. One daughter, Mrs. Pearl Bridgeman passed away in 1912 and Clydie and Johnny were his sons who died in infancy.
Surviving also are eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, also one brother, J. W. Warren, a number of nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
In 1916 Mr. Warren married Mrs. Genevieve Baker who is left to mourn his death.
He has resided in Mason County the greater part of his life and was a member of the Baptist Church of Snicarte, Illinois.
Funeral services were held at the Snicarte Baptist Church on 23 Janary 1935 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. William Ray officiating. Internment was made in the Snicarte Cemetery with Lintner Funeral service in charge.
Pall bearers were Arthur Sarff, Carl Sarff, Eldo Sarff, Earnest Sarff, Arthur Carpenter, and Mr. Miller.
Singers were Mrs. George Blessman, Mrs. John Johnson, Arthur Sarff, Eldo Sarff with Miss Ruth Leeper at the piano.
