He was born in Manchester KY. The forth child of 8 children, to Jerry Hollin (Jeremiah Hollingsworth) and Mariah Wright.
He was a loving husband and wonderful father to his 5 children. His first wife was Sadie May Johnson. They had 2 daughters, Madeline Rivers and Mavis Hawin. After she left him he married my grandmother Mary Evalyn Barnett. They had 3 children, Arnold Ray, Everett Crittendon Jr., and Shirley Jean.
He attended college at the Oneida Baptist Institute. He moved his family to Akron, OH for a better living. He worked for Goodyear and moved his family into a company house on The Brooklands. He started having terrible headaches and Drs. found he had a brain tumor. They operated but he was never the same and had to go to a nursing home until his death at the young age of 44.
