Age 81, son of the late Anthony and Elizabeth Volk Alfieri. He graduated from the former Central High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a plant engineer for Zurn Energy Systems, retiring in 1984 after 35 years. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and its Senior Action Group Encounter. He enjoyed making model trains and working with wood.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Anthony, [John] Nick and Ted Alfieri; and two sisters, Christine Waldinger and Lena Chiota.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Norma M. Brower Alfieri; four sons, Daniel L. Alfieri and his wife, Christina, of Harborcreek Township, Timothy L. Alfieri and his wife, Karen, and Douglas L. Alfieri and his wife, Amy, all of Millcreek Township, and Tracy L. Alfieri of Erie; two sisters, Margaret Coverdale of Erie and Vera McKay of Millcreek; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
