Zona LaPreele Carrell Giles Hall, 88, of Idaho Falls died November 15, 2003, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of leukemia. She was born August 25, 1915, in Wilson Mesa, Utah, to John W. and Dorothy A. Pectol Carrell. She lived in South Jordan, Utah, and in Othello and Spokane, Washington. Her later years were spent in Iona, Idaho. On October 14, 1930, she married Guy Giles. Five children blessed this union. They were divorced in 1972. She married Elmer R. Hall on August 29, 1980, in the Idaho Falls Temple. He died January 26, 1992. She was the head dietitian at Othello Community Hospital for the most of her working career. She also worked as a nurse's aid and a rotating surgical nurse. She played the piano and enjoyed crocheting, crafts, and sewing. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served two full time missions and two stake missions. She was a Temple Officiator in the Idaho Falls and Jordan River Temples. She was honored twice as Mrs. Lincoln Court while she lived there. In 1998 she moved to Iona to live with her daughter. She loved cooking and was a marvelous cook. Nothing was too much work or too much trouble, especially for her family. She was a very hard worker and took joy in the work, no matter what it was. She loved serving others and said if you are sad or blue-go do something for someone else. Another of her favorite thoughts was those who bring sunshine into the lives of others cant hide it from themselves. She would say, its just as easy to smile as to frown.

She was preceded by her daughter Margaret Giles, stepchildren Caroline Affleck and Gary Hall, sisters Josephine West and Nora Rowberry, and brothers Eldon, Walt and Frank Carrell. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 21, 2003, at Iona 2nd Ward, 4660 N 45 East, with Bishop Ken Wrightson officiating. Burial was in Iona Cemetery.
