Mrs. Catherine Diana Byrd Lamb, age 46, of Broxton passed away early Saturday morning, June 2, 2012, at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Lamb, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, retired after 9 plus years with the Coffee County Board of Education, as a Special Needs Bus Driver. She was the daughter of the late Quitman Bryant Byrd and the late Catherine Byrd Anderson. She was also preceded in death by a brother, David Byrd. Mrs. Lamb was a member of the Landmark of Truth Apostolic Church.

Survivors include: Her husband: Michael E. Lamb of Broxton, Ga., Children: Michael (Jackie) Swails, and Diana Michelle Swails, both of Douglas, Ga., Adam K. Swails of North Dakota, and Travis (Mary) Lamb of Statesboro, Ga., Step-Son: Phillip Lamb of Atlanta, Ga., Brothers: Allen (Diane) Byrd of St. Augustine, Florida, Charles (Katrina) Anderson, and James Byrd, all of Douglas, Ga., Sisters: Margaret (Linwood) Dean, and Elaine Ellis, all of Douglas, Ga., 7 Grandchildren. Several Nieces, Nephews, and Other Relatives.

Funeral Services were held Monday, June 4, 2012, at 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home, with Rev. Marc Wood officiating. The Interment followed in the Douglas City Cemetery.

Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the Arrangements.
