In 1905 this marriage record was certified by the Lebanon town clerk from the town's records to the NH State Archives. Roxelana was the dau. of Asa Fitch and Deborah Robinson, b. Oct. 9, 1780. She d. Mar. 9, 1869 at Broadalbin, Fulton County, NY and is called Roxelana on her gravestone.
They purportedly had the following ten children b. at New York, but whether all were b. at Broadalbin cannot be confirmed:
• i. Mary Fenton, b. Dec. 22, 1803, d. Aug. 27, 1890 and is interred at the same cemetery with her parents (cem. rec.); m. before 1850, Randolph House Wells, b. Oct. 22, 1810 in Glastonbury, Conn., s. of Russell Carter Wells (q.v. Welles) and Sally Talcott, and d. July 31, 1889 (cem. rec.). They had no known natural children, but the 1880 census of Broadalbin indicates they had adopted a daughter Ida, who was 23 years old in June 1880.
• ii. Dr. Stephen F. Fenton, b. July 5, 1804, d. Apr. 14, 1864 prob. at Bedford, Westchester County, NY. He was an allopathic physican and m. his 1st cousin, Emily Dewey, dau. of Dr. William Dewey and Hannah Fitch, b. June 30, 1814 at NY. She d. Apr 3, 1874 prob. at Bedford, NY. Records indicate both were members of the Chappaqua, NY meeting of the Society of Friends, and interred at Oakwood Cemetery at Mount Kisco, Westchester County, NY. Two identified children of the family.
• iii. Roswell Fenton, b. Feb. 15, 1807, d. in infancy Nov. 13, 1809 (cem. rec.)
• iv. Roxana Fenton, b. circa 1809; m. Isaac Howell. Family not traced.

Aug. 12, 1811 at Paris, NY. He d. Jan. 29, 1864 at Sandy Creek, NY. Was a Capt. (prob. Chaplin) in the Civil War with the 7th and 147th NY Infantry, but died after his service. At least two children of the family.
