WASHINGTON, PA., Jan. 3—(Special.)—Word was received here this evening of the death in Philadelphia this afternoon of Jacob B. McKennan, aged 85, a member of one of the best-known families of this county. He was born in Brownsville and was a nephew of T. M. T. McKennan, secretary of the Interior in President Fillmore's cabinet. Besides his widow, he is survived by one son, John M. McKennan of Pittsburgh, and three daughters, Miss Mary R. McKennan and Mrs. William Montelius of Philadelphia, and Mrs. John Meloy of Kentucky.
