Green-Wood Cemetery
Section C, Lot 36625.
A single white marble obelisk marks this lot. It is inscribed with the names of 4 members of the REMSEN family. But only 2, Elizabeth Hilliard and Ira M. Remsen, are listed in the cemetery's online burial list for this lot. Odder still, one of the names appears to have been inscribed twice, to wit:
