Services for Mr. George W. "Skeeter" Gordon will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 19, 2012 at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tommy Jones and Dr. Richard Wallace officiating. Interment will be in Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Gordon went to heaven on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He had worked for WTOK-TV as a photographer for 38 years. He served as Minister of Music for 19 years at Hebron Baptist Church and was also a Deacon at the church for several years. He was well known for being in the band "Danny and the Dudes" that appeared on WTOK-TV in the 1950's and early 60's. He also served in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ruby Gordon of Meridian, MS; his Daughter, Lynn Cochran and her husband Glenn of Quitman, MS; Granddaughter, Christina Cochran Allen and her husband Andy of Birmingham, AL; Two Great Granddaughters, Katie Claire Allen and Adalynn Grace Allen; by Two sisters, Amorita Gordon of Laurel, MS and Gene Peters and her husband George of Cottondale, AL.

Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Hebron Baptist Church and Honorary Pallbearers will be the David Sunday School Class of Hebron Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Webb Funeral Home from 9 – 11am.
