GUSTAV GRUNAU--Funeral services for Gustav Grunau, 75, retired city fireman and an active figure in Lutheran affairs, will be held at 2 p.m. today at the William Wischmeier & Son funeral home, 2709 Archwood Avenue S.W.
Mr. Grunau, who died Wednesday at his home, 2624 Marvin Avenue S.W., was a trustee for the Lutheran Old Folks Home in Westlake, membership chairman of Lutheran Laymen's League and chairman of the board of trustees of St. Mathew's Lutheran Church. He retired from the fire department in 1925 after 32 years of service.
Surviving him are five daughters, Mrs. Clara Stoddard, Mrs. Emma Sir-Louis, Mrs. Esther Colby, Mrs. Valeria Albl, and Mrs. Alice Brigadoi, and four sons, Arthur, Herman, Leonard and Oliver. [Published in The Plain Dealer (Cleveland, Ohio) on Friday, 27 November 1942.]
