David J. Kunkle, 64, Oakwood Ave., North Apollo, died in Allegheny Valley Hospital Tuesday at 10 p.m. Born in Kiski Twp., July 16, 1895, he was a son of George A. Kunkle and Josephine Spelman. Mr. Kunkle had lived in North Apollo for about 18 years and had resided in the area all his life. He was a blacksmith and turf shoer. He leaves his widow, Margaret (Christie) Kunkle at home; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Boyle, Spring Church; Mrs. William (Betty) Burkett, Apollo; eight sons; Tod A. Kunkle, West Apollo; William A.; George A., Charles L., Daniel D., all of North Apollo; Jacob F., New Kensington, Eric E., Flint, Mich.; Roger R. at home, and 24 grandchildren. Friends will be received in King Brothers Funeral Home, 310 S. 2nd St., Apollo, today from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. and tomorrow from 10 a.m. until time of service at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
