Shirley was born in Brookfield, Missouri, on May 16, 1928, to William and Opal Clements Marquardt, who preceded her in death. Shirley graduated from Moberly Junior College. She married Wyman Ray, on June 27, 1948, in Moberly.
Shirley was a member of West Park United Methodist Church and worked for many years as a clerk for the City of Moberly Mo., Water Department. Shirley and Wyman also volunteered for Meals on Wheels, for many years.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Wyman, of the home, two daughters, two granddaughters and four great grandsons.
Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, in Moberly.
